Barney Gunnells, owner, has been in the marine industry since 1970. At the age of 14, Barney worked for Bill Johnson at Greenwood Marine as an outboard technician. From there, he moved into boat racing with his father and two brothers and became owner of Gunnells' Marine in 1986. Barney is certified for Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, and PCM engines.

Gwen Gunnells, owner, is Barney's business partner and wife plus controller of the company. Just ask the employees who is in charge. Gwen has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Lander University in 1983 with a teacher certification in Business Education. Gwen works in every aspect of the business.

Ellis "Pop" Gunnells has been involved with boating for over 45 years. First recreationally, then in racing, and was a full time associate of Gunnells' Marine.

Buddy Attaway has been with Gunnells' since 1987 and is a very important part in making Gunnells' Marine what it is today. He is a Certified Technician for Mercury, Force, Mercruiser, Yamaha, and PCM. There are two special ladies that make his life complete, Lisa and Courtney.

Reba Bodie has been working with Gunnells' since 1995. She handles many of the administrative duties and customer communications. She is still trying to preventing Gwen from misbehaving. Reba is Gwen's mom.

In our service department is Shane Wood. Shane calls Ninety-Six, SC home and enjoys fishing. Shane began with Gunnells Marine as a Installation Technician and advanced to the Technical department. Shane is an excellent Fiberglass and Gel Tech. With Shane's talents, it allows Gunnells Marine to offer a wide range of services. Shane is a Certified Technician for Mercury, Force, MerCruiser, Yamaha, and PCM.

If you here a soft voice on the phone, you have reached Todd Baker. Todd has grown with Gunnells Marine as a customer's child, to a ski competitor with Barney and Gwen, and employee of the company. Todd's, first job of employment, is Self Regional. He assist with parts, service writing, and handling all aspects of Gunnells Marine Ebay account. So growing up as a boater, skier, Todd is extremely knowledge to answer your boating questions.

Alan Baker has grown with Gunnells Marine as a customer's child, to a ski competitor with Barney and Gwen, and employee of the company. Alan's started with Gunnells Marine at the age of 14. He is full time Nurse at Self Regional Hospital. He assist with parts, service writing, and selling at Gunnells Marine. So growing up boating and a skier, Alan is extremely knowledge to assist you with your boating needs.

Chad Hanson is Gunnells Marine Parts & Service Specialist. You will enjoy the efficient and follow through that Chad achieves on your marine parts and service needs. He is a father of two wonderful children. Chad comes from the automotive industry.

There is another pretty face and voice on the phone which is known as Haley LaFrancis. Haley comes from a boating family that has been a continued customer of Gunnells Marine. She enjoys the lake by riding tubes, wakeboarding with her family and friends. Haley can assist with your boating needs, so just ask her. She is attending Piedmont Technical College studying Emergency Medicine.
